Michael and Gina Post, Owners

Mike and Gina’s career in funeral service began over 35 years ago as high school sweethearts in a small city in the Southern Tier of New York named Olean. As Mike looked to advance in the funeral business and grow as a funeral professional, Gina selflessly gave up her own career as a General Manager of three family owned & operated Video, Music and Bookstores, to begin raising their family and move to Fredericksburg, Virginia. After living in Spotsylvania Co. for two years, they moved to the City of Manassas when they were presented with the opportunity to manage, and later purchase the old Baker Funeral Home business that was established in 1894 and located in the heart of the Old Town section of the City. While managing this business for over four years, and raising a young family, both Mike and Gina learned to appreciate the history of the community they were serving; the significant impact the business had on the Manassas, Prince William and Northern Virginia areas; and also how important it would be to offer an updated facility, with new services and amenities for the families they were serving . In 2007, the contract they had with SCI (Service Corporation International) to purchase the business came to fruition, and they were now the proud owners and operators of one of the oldest serving businesses in the area. In 2008, their brand new, state of the art facility was opened, and 17 years later, they have helped thousands of families in the community they call home. Both Gina and Mike have also served outside the funeral home in many different capacities and networking groups; Prince William Professional Networking Group (PWPN), The Manassas Rotary Club, The Manassas Business Council, Historic Manassas, Inc., and Brentsville District High School as the Head Varsity Softball Coach to name a few. They are members of Grace United Methodist Church, where both have served on the SPRC Committee and as a Trustee.  Now, as residents of Nokesville since 2016, they continue to be proud parents of three children, Connor, Ellie and Jackson; and are super excited to have a new member of the Post Family, their first grandchild, Lily Jane Post.

Connor R. Post, Licensed Funeral Director
